- Improving
linguistic and cultural skills
- Taking
into account the different areas of expertise during workshops
Linguistic
workshops
- Oral
communication: using authentical documents, the focus will
be set on oral skills (comprehension and expression) in activities such
as debates, role play, simulations, talks and presentations, always
working on different levels of language.
- Written
communication: using authentical documents, trainees will
work on writing (comprehension and expression) through a range of activities
such as writing newspaper articles, short stories, letters, etc.
- Grammar
exercises: refresher and advanced.
Themed
workshops:
- French
through the media: using the press, television, radio and
internet, this workshop help trainees to examine political, social and
economic life in France (proposed for beginner to advanced levels).
- French
through literature: based around the major genres of French
literature (novels, poetry, theatre), the major literary movements
as well as the major authors. Creative writing may be proposed
(proposed for intermediate to advanced levels).
- Knowledge
of France and its history:
the key dates in French history, particularly the changes
over the 20th century (proposed for basic to advanced levels).
- French
through song and cinema: a look into French
culture and lifestyle through popular songs and films (proposed for
beginner to advanced levels).

the right methods and skills to teach, as well as the learning theory recommended in the programs (action-based approach, etc.).
